I ART FRAZER IRVING

Doodles, scribbles and misc art stuff from Frazer Irving, International Comicbook Rockstar.
I don’t often post sketches of stuff that are half-baked or unfinished, but today I went mad, so using this momentary bout of insanity to justify radical actions I’m posting a sketch of Silverfin from the Shade.
The brief was open enough to pretty much let me do anything. He had to have a cape, and was suggested that he dress in a less spandexy manner than superheroes do traditionally. All of this was fine by me as I don’t like spandex anyway (there’s no logic behind it especially for males and their bits) so I went all retro 70s for the costume.
But here we just have his face. You can see some other doodles to the side where I was exploring some less conventional expressions, however I derive character from the text they speak and this chap actually seemed a little mean spirited so his expression finally became this stern visage you are gazing at above. Cosmic psychedelic hair, oddly trimmed beard, earrings and a stern look and I knew that this was him. A man who has his own set of fashion rules and everyone else be damned if they don’t dig it.
Ok, I need to put underpants on my head and some pencils up my nose until this delusional phase passes by. Mayonnaise!
